Not yet discovered outside of Japan: TEKOs
Or, wristbands, worn by the Tobi to keep their heads dry and clean. Very comfortable and a very unique look. They come both in long and short versions. The outside color is usually neutral (black, navy or white). The inside often has meaningful designs to depict a certain story from Japanese mythology or a symbolic pattern
How to wear:
- 1. The tobi wear the illustrated side on the inside. But, we recommend to vary. You can wear it inside out, showing the design. It takes a bit more practice to hook it up, but you’ll get the hang of it.
- 2. Choose a long version if you want to cover more of your arm or if you have longer than average arms. Otherwise, choose a short version
- 3. Wrap the band around your arm with the illustration facing your arm (or the other way around). If you chose a teko without illustration be sure the ropes are facing outside.
- 4. Slide the metal hooks in the loop that fits best.
